Bulbs are pushing up through the rocks trying to reach the sun.
The birds are up early. It’s great to be outside before the sunrise and listen for the first bird. Then the second. Then the third. Pretty soon there’s a caucophony of birds. Bird nests are being built everywhere.
The snow is melting and rushing through the creeks and making small little rivers. Listen to the water.
We need a lot of patience in the spring. We’re so anxious for the warmer weather, but it’s still drops below freezing at night. The trees want to bud, but the sap isn’t running yet. The daylight hours are getting longer, the sun is getting warmer, and the signs of spring are here. And lookie here, we’ve had our first ladybug siting. This is good news.
