You do that too? Yes, I enjoy learning a lot of different art. Is it a weakness, a passion or a will to learn something new? People ask me about my art supplies. Well I do a lot of different things, so I have a lot of supplies. Like mulch to a garden, they’re honey for an artist.

Paints, brushes, scissors, hole punches, pencils, sketchpads.

I sew and bake. Embroider and quilt. I make cards with beautiful papers embellished with ribbons, twine and buttons. I Etch-a-sketch. I love glitter! fabric! thread! Sometimes I buy fabric I have no intention of ever using because it’s too pretty to cut up. I like to “visit” it every once in awhile.

I have too many cookie cutters, cookbooks and cake plates. I collect rolling pins and have an obsession for sprinkles.

Here are a few things behind the scenes. This is what goes on in my four walls.

When I start with a blank slate my dream starts there. Art supplies can be like a gravel path leading to a cottage or like the first twigs for a bird building a nest. Don’t restrict yourself. The possibilities are endless and there’s always something new to learn.
