We’ve been visiting a Farmer’s Market all summer. It’s an easy, quiet ride for us about 20 miles away. No traffic. No stop lights. A ride in the country.

We’re not the first to arrive at 8:30 a.m. and there are people lined up waiting to pay for their produce when we leave. Beautiful, fresh produce, all homegrown by the family. A family farm since 1947.

Early in the season there are strawberries, raspberries and flowers.

Then as the warmer months come there are peaches, beans, melons, and tomatoes. Eggplant, peppers, radishes and more flowers. Colorful vegetables and fruits.

If you have a farmer’s market nearby be sure to support it. The market we go to is open 7 days a week. Simple yet prideful.

We arrive early in the morning to get their bi-colored sweet corn before everybody else gets there. Of course, they depend on the weather and the weather here in Ohio isn’t really predictable so we’ve been waiting for that bi-colored corn again.

Maybe this week.
